## Summary

Authentication scheme contract consumed by `auth()`.

### `name`

Stable method name exposed on the resolved auth state.

### `authenticate(context: RequestContext): AuthSchemeAuthenticateResult<identity> | Promise<AuthSchemeAuthenticateResult<identity>>`

Authenticates the current request or returns `null`/`undefined` to skip the scheme.
